ECM is fun for everyone, but is geared toward children from infants to age 10. Take a look at our Exhibits and Calendar to see what’s new!
The duration of a visit to ECM varies depending on your children’s ages. Most families allow two hours to fully experience everything the Museum has to offer.
ECM is open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9:30am to 2:00pm, Friday from 9:30am to 5:00pm, and Saturday from 9:30am to 2:30pm. We are closed Wednesdays and Sundays, but available for private events and birthday parties.
We are close to many local restaurants, but unfortunately do not have any food available for purchase.
We have a few picnic tables in our backyard for our guests to enjoy their lunch. In addition, we are located next to Leclaire Ballpark and have lots of shady areas to enjoy a blanket picnic.
Yes, strollers are allowed inside the museum, but space is limited and it may be hard to maneuver.
ECM is proud to be one of the most popular kids birthday party venues in Edwardsville! All parties are scheduled when the Museum is closed to the public, giving your child and guests full access to all of our incredible exhibits. To schedule your birthday party, click here.
We want everyone to have an unforgettable experience at ECM, including our youngest visitors and guests who have sensory sensitivities. With our special Buddy Blocks, you can reserve the Museum outside our regular visiting hours for a private adventure with family and friends.
