Celebrate the start of the holiday season at the Edwardsville Children’s Museum Winter Wonderland Open House! Your family can depart ECM’s Nickel Plate Station for a frosty and festive journey to the North Pole, including a special visit with Santa Claus himself!

Parking: 

Park anywhere on the Lewis & Clark campus,  on Hale behind the Museum, or at the Leclaire Field.

The Winter Wonderland event includes special holiday-themed activities throughout the day:

  • Get your wish list ready! Santa arrives by firetruck at 1 p.m. and will be available for photos until 4 p.m.
  • Explore the returning “Into the Arctic” exhibit to ride a dog sled and try ice-fishing – all without the subzero temperatures.
  • Take a train ride aboard the Holiday Express.
  • Visit the Nickel Plate Station mailbox to write and mail a holiday letter to the North Pole.
  • Enjoy free cookies and stop by the hot cocoa and coffee truck or pretzel tent to purchase some delicious beverages and snacks.
